Nasi Lemak or Coconut Milk Rice

There are many recipes out there on how to cook nasi lemak. There are complicated ones and simple ones. The trick with nasi lemak is to practice and practice to make it perfect. This I find is simple enough for all to follow. All you need is just the four ingredients and a rice pot. Just follow the following instruction to cook yourself a delicious plate of nasi lemak.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups thick coconut milk
  • 3 screwpine leaves (daun pandan)
  • salt
Directions:
  1. Clean rice and drain.
  2. Cook rice in coconut milk with screw pine leaves. Add in salt.
  3. If desired, add in some sliced shallots and ginger.
  4. Cook in rice cooker or till fully absorbed.
