The Japanese love their salmon raw - salmon sashimi. Just dip it in sweet sauce with wasabi and they are ready. I personally love salmon sashimi too but unfortunately, fresh salmons are very difficult to get and even if they are available, they are expensive. Frozen salmon on the other hand are readily available. So today, I am going to share with you how to bake yourself a salmon fish with black pepper and garlic.
Ingredients:- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and cut into 2-inch slices
- 1 cup skim milk
- Firstly, spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. This is to avoid the fish from sticking at the bottom.
- Then, in a shallow dish, combine the corn meal, black pepper and garlic powder.
- Dip the salmon slices into the milk and then dredge in the corn meal mixture to coat it completely.
- After coating, place the coated salmon on the prepared baking sheet and allow it to rest about 10 to 15 minutes.
- While the salmon rests, preheat oven to 375 degree; place the salmon sticks in oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the sticks flake easily.
