Chili prawns are one of my favourite dish. The spiciness of the chili together with the prawns is just yummy. This dish is very good to go with "nasi lemak" or also known as coconut rice.
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 500 g green prawns (uncooked)
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons black bean paste
- 1 tablespoon chili, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon malt vinegar
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- chives (to garnish)
- Firstly, heat the oil in a wok and pour in the prawns and cook for 1 minute.
- Remove the prawns from the wok and add in garlic, ginger, black bean paste and chilli and continue to stir fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Then return the prawns to wok and add in ketchup, vinegar and sugar.
- Continue stiring until it is cooked. Sprinkle with chives and serve with rice.
